Welcome to the TRDL/R3 Weekly Jam!
I'm Thom, of Third Rail Design Lab
www.thirdraildesignlab.com For those that haven't been over to the R3 Forum, the message board that supports my Third Rail Design Lab illustration site, we've been hosting a weekly art jam for years and years now. HEAPS of jams. It is a weekly jam, with the subject matter pulled at random from R3 member suggestions, with the new character announced on the R3 Forum and the TRDL Updates Blog each Sunday.
The Details:
- The jams are announced each Sunday
- There are Character or Theme Jams
- Subjects are completely open to artist interpretation: do a drawing from canon, or redesign at will!
- All jams REMAIN OPEN INDEFINITELY; you can populate older jams with new work at any time.
- You can submit 3 character or theme subjects to me by email, PM, etc and the suggestions will go in the pot.
How to Submit:
You can either submit your art to your own gallery and then add it to our group from there, or submit directly to
but go ahead and just drop the art into the Featured folder. I'll copy it into the Weekly Jam folder in question for you. I will leave a copy in Featured for about a month, and then replenish. SO the art will always be in a Weekly Jam folder, and will be in Featured for the first month, more or less.
Hit me with questions!
And don't forget to offer jam character or theme requests, either to me privately here on DA or on the R3 Forum:
www.thirdraildesignlab.com/for…Up until now, the jam has been exclusively on the forum, but I've had a few requests for jam announcements here on DeviantArt, so I'm going to start posting them here.
If you elect to draw for the jam, or contribute to an older jam, the BEST thing would be to post the work both here on DA and in the R3 Forum itself. The more folks on DA that know about the jam, the more might be interested in getting involved. The R3 Forum contains years of previous jams, all still available for new contributions. Get in on both!
Note: If you go to my forum and join up, make sure to email me or ping e here to tell me your username so I can fast-track your confirmation. I have a lot of spam accounts I have to sift through.
The TRDL/ R3 Jam is located on my TRDL site here:
